Fellowships for Alabama Artists and Arts Administrators

Next Deadline for Artist Fellowships
Thursday, March 1, 2004, 5 PM

All applications are due in the offices of the State Arts Council by 5 PM on the deadline date. We do not accept late applications. When the application deadline date falls on a weekend or State of Alabama holiday, the application is due by 5 PM on the first business day following the weekend or state holiday.

The Council awards Artist Fellowships of $5,000 or $10,000 for Alabama Artists working in crafts, dance, design, media/photography, music, literature, theatre and visual arts. Recipients may use funds to set aside time to create art, improve their skills or to do what is most advantageous to enhance their artistic careers. Recipients must be residents of Alabama. The Fellowships are highly competitive and are reviewed by peer panels. There are different requirements for each artistic discipline. Consult our Guide to Programs for complete details.
